BC Arts Council Award

I am pleased to announce that I am the recipient of a very generous 2020 BC Arts Council Early Career Development grant. From November 13, 2020 to November 13, 2021 I will be receiving mentorship from master Woodlands artist Mark Anthony Jacobson (Anishinaabe) as I work on my craft full time. I am very grateful for the opportunity to take the time to learn from one of the greatest living Woodlands artists who happens to live in Northern BC. Despite the horror, uncertainty and stress of living in a pandemic, I take comfort in art during these times, and receiving acknowledgement and encouragement to continue sharing stories of the Anishinaabe is a true honour.
