The winged, scaled, and four legged are all just as important to creation as the two-legged. These creatures are sacred to us in terms of their symbolism, but in the real world, their threatened existence is not removed from the threat to our existence as well. When the world is out of balance, we will see the impact on the natural world around us, the reflection of which will not be all that different from what we see in the mirror.
